Summer Fragrance

Summer Fragrance

The smell of Clinique Aromatics will always remind me of being young. My mum wore it constantly; night or day, spending time in the house or out for a fancy dinner. She's since moved on (and on and on and on), but every time I catch a whiff of that scent I'm always transported back to the 90's.

Ah nostalgia...

When it comes to my own perfume I'm nowhere near as loyal. Practically as soon as I get a new fragrance, I'm trying to finish it so that I can get on to the next one. Very few of my own perfumes actually have the power to create a loyal customer out of me, but here are the three that hold some of my best memories.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess

This will always remind me of my trip to Thailand. Thanks to the coconut and vanilla tones, it's the ultimate summer scent to me. Slightly musky, slightly sweet and totally addictive. Is it weird that it reminds me of sun cream? Whenever I wear it at home I think of hot summer nights and tanned skin.

Tom Ford Mandarino Di Amalfi

I'm always drawn to more masculine scents and anything with a citrusy tone to it. If I could squeeze an orange on my wrist and call it good I would. So when I received this perfume last Christmas, I knew it was perfect for me. Its super fresh, and reminds me of the white washed buildings in Greece. A little on the pricey side, but definitely worth every penny.

Escentric Molecules Molecule 01

There's something about this perfume that just rakes in the compliments. Made with just one ingredient, it's purpose is to react with each persons pheromones to create something that smells different on everyone. At first I wasn't sure. From what I can tell from smelling it on myself it's quite musky which I normally do not like at all. It almost reminded me of incense. But compliments from others have told me that its extremely floral and fresh. Is this my natural scent? Who knows, but I definitely like the compliments!
