2017 (Plus Giveaway!)
I'm not usually one to make New Year Resolutions. If I did, they wouldn't last beyond the month of January. I'm too lazy too keep exercise up for long (plus I have a very active job). Diets are pointless, since I'm currently working on the Low Fodmap diet with a dietitian. I don't drink much, so dry January will happen probably with or without my input. All in all, I just don't see the point.
But this year I want to have goals. Nothing too crazy, or achievable, but enough to spark a change in my life. In 2016, I found myself in a rut. Granted, I didn't actually notice I was in a rut until around November. But its been there, happening, for quite a while. I'm going to use the new year as a fresh start. So here are my goals for the year ahead:
Sounds easy right? I do love blogging, and hope to post a lot more in 2017. I'm still quite new to this whole thing, and can hit the wall sometimes when it comes to inspiration. But I'm going to be a better planner, and spend more of my free time coming up with new posts instead of watching Netflix (or whilst watching Netflix).
Find A New Career
I've been working the same job now for about four years. It's easy and comfortable and I love it, but it isn't what I'd call a 'forever job'. I've been saying I'm going to get out for the past two years, but this time I need to make it happen. Whether it's making a living from my blog, starting a business, or finding somewhere to work with progression opportunities, I'm going at it with everything I have this year.
In 2016, I was anxious. It came out of nowhere, and stopped me from doing things I normally wouldn't think twice about. Starting this blog opened up some lovely opportunities for me, and I only said yes to a few of them. This year I'm going to try to say yes to as much as possible, and see where it takes. me.
Ok this is my cheat one, because travel is a given regardless of this list. This year I'm hoping to see Japan/Canada, and more of Scotland. In fact, the North Coast 500 is in my sights, and if I can convince a few friends we need a road trip then this will definitely be happening in the summer. More travel posts will definitely be making an appearance on the blog!
Take A Camera Class
Let's face it, my photos are pretty rubbish. I have a great camera ( and even my Iphone takes a decent photo in a pinch), but I need to learn how to edit. There are so many amazing photography and editing classes in Glasgow, I feel like it's time to get myself to one!
I wanted to start 2017 off with my first ever giveaway. Since I love my beauty and skincare products, I thought this would be a lovely way to start the new year.
