Since I started my blog (back in August? Already??) I've posted around 3-4 times a month. Not at all what I expected of myself. I imagined posting a few times a week and having amazing, different content. I thought it was going to be soooooo easy to keep on top of. And I have been an Epic. Fail.
So I've decided that for the second half of 2017, I'm going to make a proper effort. I'm going at this with a real plan! And having looked at some blogs that I love already, I've decided on how I'm going to go about my Motivation Makeover.
1. I'm going to make plans in an actual book. I do have one, but I've used about 5 pages since August.
2. I will pre-write posts. Seriously, sitting down to write a blog post 'when I feel like it' is just not ideal.
3. I'm going to try and post at least twice a week. Probably not going to happen. But goals!
4. If I don't manage to post as much as I want, I'm not going to stress about it. I've spent most of May saying to myself 'today I'll write a bunch of blog posts/take some photos/do something interesting, then feel so annoyed at myself for being too lazy to follow through.
On the upside, the second half of the year is looking to be way more interesting than the first - which was mostly just work and grey weather. Although I spent one of those grey days going to see the Kelpies, and another (beautiful) day at Culzean Castle. See, at least I'm working on my 30 before 30 list - seeing more of Scotland!
I have trips planned in June, September and December. And trips within those trips. I know, this might actually turn into the travel blog it was supposed to be!
Until then I'll be posting whatever comes to mind (hopefully things will come to mind). I'm excited for the rest of 2017!
This post has mostly been me trying to give myself a kick up the bum. Here's hoping it worked!
