Perfect Travel Picks With The Estee Edit Beautiful Escape Edition

Perfect Travel Picks With The Estee Edit Beautiful Escape Edition

My birthday falls in August (27 this year - aaaaah!), and every year I think I'll treat myself to the Estee Edit which comes out at the start of the month. Every year I forget.

Except this year! This year I was all over it - probably because with a holiday coming up in September, I actually need a few miniatures to take with me on my travels. My little package arrived and I wasn't disappointed. Because this year was the 'Beautiful Escape Edition'.

Within the cute, summery little bag, are all the things you might need to take care of skin and hair on a summer holiday. Mine will be going into my suitcase with only a few extra bits from my own stash! Here are the bits I found:

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

I might not have many wrinkles yet, but taking care of my skin as I age is important to me. This stuff is absolute gold - adding a few drops to my night cream (especially when I've been out in the sun) does wonders for my face. My skin looks brighter and refreshed with the tiniest amount.

The Estee Edit Dissolve the Drama

Normally I'm a Clarins girl when it comes to makeup removal. Nothing beats their Instant Eye Make-Up Remover, and I'll always love the Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser. But this product is now a top contender for taking my make-up off after a long day thanks to the fact that it works as both a makeup remover and a cleanser. Saves me some room in my suitcase!

Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream

There's nothing better in the morning than something cool and refreshing under tired eyes. Especially when I've been out the night before and all I want to do is sleep. The formula of Clinique's Pep Start is perfect for mornings when I just want to go back to bed. I'm a huge fan.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

I've only recently become a fan of Origins, and haven't tried enough of their products by a long shot. The Overnight Mask is one of the company's top selling products, and for good reason. After a few uses of this my rough, dry and dehydrated skin has been transformed and is as smooth and soft as if I'd had a facial. I'll be taking this with me to help combat days spent in the sun. Plus, since my normal skincare routine goes out the window on holiday this is an easy way to look after my skin.

MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara

How have I never tried a MAC mascara before?! This was the full size product of the bundle, but is still sleek and slim enough to fit easily in my compact makeup bag. I tend to go for volumising mascaras, and this one has gone to the top of my favorites list. Since I mostly just slick on a simple eye shadow and loads of mascara on holiday, this will make my easy makeup routine even easier.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick

As a long time fan of Bobbi Brown eye shadows, I was so happy to see one in this year's edit. The colour is a beautiful rose gold - perfect with tanned skin! - and the formula is so creamy and smooth it looks like liquid on the skin. And it's miniature again!

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray

Like so many other girls, my hair just doesn't cooperate when it comes to hot and humid weather. I'd love to let it dry 'naturally', but I tend to look as though I've stuck my finger in a socket. I have to admit, I've never tried the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray, but I'm intrigued. I love the beachy, wavy look; and hopefully my hair will behave itself a bit better.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

Again with the heat and humidity, it isn't just my hair that misbehaves. My makeup tends to slide down my face (when I can be bothered putting any on). Having never tried any Smashbox products, this sounds like the perfect way to keep my makeup in place on those hot, humid nights. I'm not usually a primer girl (too lazy), but I'm more than willing to give it a go for a week!

The roundup of products in this edit is so impressive. At only £25, and worth nearer to £70 it's such a bargain. I'm so happy that I remembered this year, as not only am I able to get my hands on some of my favourite products, but I get to try some new soon-to-be favourites too. Safe to say, I've set myself a reminder for next year already!
